The mat is on the left side of a mound facing a field that has an uphill slant.
The first bird is a is a dead rooster pheasant thrown angle back at 225 yards from the line. When the dog goes for the flyer the gunners will retire behind a large bush. The dog goes down the mound, through a moderate cover and between standing corn and a mound, then on to an area of heavy cover left of where the gunners retire.
Bird number two is a hen pheasant flyer. This bird is located straight in the front of the mat and shot to the right at 180 yards. The field has been stripped.
