Tenth Series – Land/Water Triple

Welcome to the Tenth Series of the Second National Derby Championship! Today we woke up to dark, rainy skies with a temperature of 42 degrees. The rain began at 7:00 and the high will only be 46 degrees. The mat is facing southeast overlooking a set of three terraced ponds. To the right of the line, is a large pond with three ponds. Uphill to the left is an open field. The first bird, a dead hen mallard, is the middle bird thrown to the right at 280 yards landing at the base of a small bush. The line to this bird is down the hill, through the first small pond, catching a corner of the large right hand pond and then catching the right hand corner of the second pond of the terrace. The dog will then continue up the hill to the bird. Secondly, a dead drake is thrown to the right at 265 yards. The line to this bird takes the dog down the hill to the right, across a large pond and a short distance up the terrace to the bird. Finally, the hen mallard flyer is shot to the right at 155 yards. The dog transverses the open field to get this shot flyer.
