National Championships are punctuated with pheasants – it's not for the faint of heart. Today, the National Derby club is presenting two roosters and later, a hen. Generally, this brings longer fall area hunts. It's a grand tradition of the Field Trials to use pheasants and it's very "exciting" to hear the cackle of a rooster – the dogs are PUMPED!
FYI at the time of writing this, we have just witnessed three no-birds in a row …
